BOURBON LIFT

SUMMARY

This rich and creamy cocktail combines some of the best things on this planet; coffee and liqueur.  Definitely one way to wake yourself up in the morning.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 OZ (45ML) BOURBON

  • 0.5 OZ (15ML) COFFEE LIQUEUR

  • 0.5 OZ (15ML) HEAVY CREAM

  • 0.5 OZ (15ML) ORGEAT SYRUP

  • CLUB SODA

INSTRUCTION

  1. ADD ALL INGREDIENTS MINUS CLUB SODA TO A SHAKER AND SHAKE EXTREMELY WELL WITH ICE.

  2. AFTER A HARD SHAKE DOUBLE STRAIN INTO A HIGHBALL GLASS WITHOUT ICE.

  3. FILL REST OF GLASS WITH CLUB SODA, POURING FROM AT LEAST 6 INCHES ABOVE THE GLASS.

  4. ONCE AT THE TOP, GIVE IT ONE MORE SPLASH OF CLUB SODA BUT THIS TIME FROM CLOSE RANGE.

  5. THIS SHOULD “LIFT” THE COCKTAIL FOAM ABOVE THE GLASS.

  6. SERVE.
